NUMBER BLOCKS 1954-1955
The actual number ranges were not specified in the official document.
The type of plate was determined by the colors - refer to my Numbering and Colors page for details.
The number was delimited by dashes for every two digits, as was typical for the all-numeric Mexican plates of the 50's:
For example: 1, 11, 1-11, 11-11, 1-11-11, 11-11-11.
The information comes from the document 'Diario Oficial' published by the government of Mexico.
The issue dated 2 October 1953 contains the license plate specifications.

For some reason, Baja California Sur was omitted from the official document.
I will guess that "BS" was the prefix used for Baja California Sur.
